This is correct. I mentioned 740d as a possible name for the 3.0 TT diesel-I6. That's because the N54 engine (3.0 TT petrol-I6, used in e.g. 335i) in the F01 7er is called 740i instead of 735i.

Could one of our German-speaking members translate this exact part, please? Thanks! Just_me did a good summary earlier but I'm interested in some further details. I can't say I was completely satisfied with what Google, Babelfish and freetranslation.com gave me.

Das gilt auch für den Verbrauch, wo sich Maßnahmen wie die verschließbaren Kühlluftöffnungen und die Bremsenergie-Rückgewinnung auszahlen. Insgesamt fällt das Spritsparen mit dem BMW am leichtesten – und dafür muss man nicht auf Schleichfahrt gehen, sondern ist sogar durchweg flott unterwegs.
Der deutlich schwerere Mercedes benimmt sich behäbiger, und seine etwas zögerlich aufs Gas reagierende Siebengang-Automatik muss ab und an schon mal zurückschalten, um am 7er dranzubleiben. Auch beim Ampelstart setzt sich die S-Klasse nicht so leichtfüßig in Bewegung wie Audi und BMW. Dennoch zeigen die BlueEFFICIENCY-Maßnahmen Wirkung, an die Sparsamkeit des 730d kommt der große Benz jedoch nicht ganz heran.

Sure Tarek, I'll try to be extremely specific in my future replies to you. But only on the condition that you don't make such bold claims (the other car would've DEFINITELY won IF...) based on nothing but your own speculation.
Also, I have to say I'm surprised you had no idea about the 35d (N54) engine even though it has been in the market for a long time and it's the engine that Tycoon has in his car...
