Actually no... look at the acceleration figures. Hardly anything separates the M3 and C63 up to 120 km/h. You'd have to be driving on only two roads on the entire planet where it's legal to in order to have a tangible benefit of the Merc's straightline speed advantage.

Otherwise, it's the same old story: the M3 does more with less. Like it always has, like it always will. So many cars are judged by spec-sheets and inconsequential numbers like straightline acceleration figures above 160 km/h. The M3 achieves where the keen driver needs it to: everywhere.

And that's why I stand by my opinion that the M3 is the best allround performance car on the market relative to the value of money.

not much art in straight line top speeds anyway, all you need is a big engine.. i don't really know why the C63's acceleration is just marginally faster than M3, not talking about top speeds but acceleration. Looking at the numbers C63 should pretty much own the M3 in acceleration.. BMW DCT strength?

Certainly from what I've come to understand, the C63 just has too much torque to put down without overwhelming rear axle grip. So under full-bore acceleration in the lower gears, the C63 is beset with a constant struggle between wheel-spin and electronic reining-in.

Also, the M-DCT transmission will do two things over the manual:
- it will boost torque slightly at the rear wheels by virtue of the shorter gearing
- it will shift significantly quicker

So yes, the DCT-equipped M3 will make the greater use of its available engine outputs.

Do you have a video of C63 winning a drag race against a M3 with DCT? I have not seen one. The only one I have seen of was a M5board video of an M3 with DCT and after market exhaust destroying the C63.

I've seen countless ones of C63 destroying the M3 in power, and do we really need to see one when the acceleration times here are identical from 0-100 bearing in mind M3 is equipped with DCT?

And i won't even mention what the C63 is gonna do when the MCT is offered.

Tarek, this probably the first head to head comparison you see when M3 is equipped with DCT. All tests I've seen its with Manual gearbox.

its quite funny you mention MCT when its not even available yet. We are talking in present and currently C63 doesnt comes with MCT. When it happens then we can start talking. Not its just pointless and futuristic.

M3 sixspeed vs C63

Well sunny mentioned aftermarket tuned exhaust M3 do u need me to bring after market C63s like carlsson one or better yet BRABUS bullet?

MB's MCT is goin down the entire AMG lineup at least by the end of this year so year prepare from some insane acceleration figures for the C63 as if it's already not enough humiliating the M3 is acceleration.

It's the same old story all over again
