When i 'm behind the steering wheel i want to have control of my car and be safe at the same time. Quattro is very easy to control and fun to drive in the snow unlike RWD where there are pleanty of chances of an accident.

Second that!

Yannis, we all know that quattro is the best AWD out there, no doubt. But, you must except that other car makers (BMW in this case) are obviously improving their AWD system and that it can be just as good as quattro, maybe even better, we'll see.

And yes, quattro is great in the snow, for sure, but man... Winter lasts for 3 months only and i want to enjoy my car more than 3 months.

BMW is improving it's AWD all the time no doubt. The main drawback for xdrive is that the rest of BMW's models which are RWD are so damn good that most people don't give xdrive much of attention.

Yup, but wagons, SUVs and luxury mid-size sedans with AWD systems are very popular and becoming more and more popular every day, so in that case they must offer xDrive in those models. Don't worry, as soon as xDrive shows itself on pair with quattro (very soon imo), people will give it much more of attention, be sure about that.

Oh yeah, of course i don't want a xDrive in M cars...

I kind of doubt that.
People don't buy their X5 to go offroad, for that they buy a Land Rover.

What do you doubt?

Yeah, people don't buy X5 to go offroad, not even Land Rover. This is what people buy when they want to go offroad, i mean i'd do so:

...or Pathfinder, Patroler, etc.

Doesn't surprise me. Audi = QUATTRO HERITAGE.

Audi4Life will become famous soon enough
All-Wheel-Drive Sport Sedans by: R&T

Featuring: Audi A4 2.0 T Quattro S-Line | BMW 325ix | Infiniti G35x | Lexus IS 250 AWD
Mazdaspeed6 | Subaru Legacy 2.5 GT spec.B | Volvo S40 T5 AWD

It seems there are more all-wheel-drive sports sedans on the market than we can ever remember. But what happens to the sporty driving dynamics when you change a rear- or front-drive car to all-wheel, especially considering the unfortunate added weight that comes with it? Sure, awd helps with traction in snowy areas, but what about those parts of the country that don't get snow? Or what about the seven months out of the year that the Snowbelt states have clear roads? You want all-wheel drive for traction, but you also want your sports sedan to be, well...sporting.

Guess who wins...
