However, in a poll where you compare the cars, well the Nissan just isn't as appealing, as emotional as the Porsche or Beemer... Like Clarkson once said (about German cars, funnily...): long in engineering, but a bit short on passion...Compared to a Porsche or an M-car that is. The 370Z is, in itself, a very nice sportscar.

Put the money factor aside and the two Germans just have a different level of overall appeal that the 370Z - as good as it may be - just can't match. Pity, because it's one of those "power to the people" cars and it deserves to have greater emotional cachet. I think the 370Z will look smashing in white but park it next to a new Cayman S and I'll be hard pressed to take my eyes off the Porsche. Still, in these pragmatic times I'm going to stand by my vote for what I surely expect to be a cracking good drive in its own right. I don't think the 370Z is a Cayman beater, nor can it ever have the special quality of the Z4 M Coupe. But, one thing is for sure, it deserves to be compared in this company...

Best sports car of the bunch, best looking and since it HAS a boxer engine, it must be fabulous... ![]() Seriously, without thinking twice, the Cayman S. A black one, with TechArt rims... ![]() Never liked the Z4 despite it's qualities, it's just an ugly and not appealing car. 370Z? I can only comment on looks and that's...Oh well, i don't want to make Martin angry... ![]() ![]()

I'll take the Porsche too, but I am becoming more intrigued by the 370Z as we wait for it to go on sale here. The price is right and if the styling is better in person it could be a possible choice. New Z4 over old one now that I've seen the new one in person. M

Fun to drive & an excitment that can only come from M-power! ![]() One more thing, Cayman is what my gf's aunt drive & she is turning 70 next month! Reason enough to avoid it, j/k! ![]()
