well, for me it´s just another good reason to stick with BMW, I don´t really want to drive the same car as everyone else...

Oh and btw only c**ks drives audis nowdays...

or has Top Gear it all wrong?

Please. Everything Audi does is a reaction to either BMW or Mercedes.

Audi name was never mentioned in that press release ... While BMW is clearly mentioned in Audi's one.

And btw, Audi is not the only premium car maker offering AWD.

And it was kind a obvious BMW sold more AWD cars since Audi had no SUV in their product line at all at that moment while BMW had X5 & X3.

topgear still think bmw drivers are cocks, clarkson just decided to add audi drivers to that list.

IMO they lack a clear direction.

MB try to offer best comfort in their cars ...
BMW try to offer best driving dynamics in their cars ...

Unfortunately Audi seems like all those Japanese brands - just offering an alternative to MB & BMW. Having no own character at all.

Once the AWD (Quattro) was Audi's main advantage - now all it's rivals offer optional AWD systems.

Vorsprung durch Technik ... What Technik? LED lights? Direct Injection engines?

Can somebody tell me some technological advantage Audi has over its direct rivals?

Just like Lexus, Infiniti etc ... Audi can sell 2 million cars per year - but the brand will still be seen as an alternative to MB & BMW.

With Audi / Lexus / Infiniti etc. people buy an anti-BMW or anti-MB.

It's really sad all some brands can offer (image wise) is "being an alternative".
