Good eye! However, I think there are so many discrepancies in 0-60/0-100 times that they fail to charm if they are not done head to head - if even then.

Well, its two different carmags and there are several factors included when to meassure acceleration. Not quite fair comparison.
But a DSG gearbox do improve acceleration and fuel consumption.

Re: [scans] AMS: Audi S4 vs. BMW 335i

This is my first post here, and as a current Audi (2007 RS4) and BMW (1985 M635csi)owner I like both but I think the B8 S4 is more desireable than the 335xi for the enthusiast driver. Its a better value too; when you add the sport pacakge, 18" wheels and leather to the 335xi base price it is almost $47000 USD. If Audi can keep the base price at $47000-48000(with leather Recaros, 18" wheels as standard) it is indeed a better value, at least in my country. Plus it flat out romps the Bimmer in acceleration and handling. If Audi can just do something about the horrible depreciation.

Lets not forget- this 335 was the xi model-150kg heavier than the 335i and with more drivetrain losses due to 4 wd. Last months Performance
car magazine tested the 335i against an infiniti and it posted a 18.2sec to
200 kmph. This is one magazine article!!! Lets not get carried away.
With the new Power kit the 335i will own the S4.

All factory BMW stuff. I want to see this test.

But congrats to the S4 on winning from a standard 335i with xDrive...

335i already owns audi (any audi, even r8) because it has that bmw badge.
