GLK: A real Mercedes, offering great ride comfort. Not handles as sharply as the other two cars. The engine offers very linear power delivery, but it could be less thirsty.

Q5: The car drives like a sporty sedan. The only SUV characteristic is the car's body shape / design. Offering great dynamic drive yet slightly worse ride comfort. Quite high fuel consumption.

X3: Best driving performance, low fuel consumption. The car shows quite some virtues, good handling being one of them. Engine refinement and ride comfort aren't up to date anymore though.

Good showing for Mercedes. GLK lands here on Jan 5th.

Re: [scans] AMS: Audi Q5 2.0 TDI vs. BMW X3 2.0d vs. Mercedes GLK 220 CDI

I would gladly take an ageing X3 over the brand new GLK. They messed up the design pretty badly. The basic proportions remind me of a previous generation Subaru Forester , it looks more like a raised station wagon than a SUV.

The X3 has the best driving performance....but what does that mean? It's fastest through the corner or something?
Whatever it may be, I think the X3 did really good for such an old car....new X3 shouldn't have much problems with either two new cars

I like the GLK more than the Q5 so far, but I have to say that I have yet to see the Q5 in real life.

The Sport Package on the GLK looks awful. I find the normal design to be pretty lovely but that black plastic makes the whole car look cheap. Ugh...

You mean the Offroad Package, don't you?! Where is your knowledge about Mercedes cars gone?! Nevertheless, your photographing skills grow… - that's very good.
