The basic proportions remind me of a previous generation Subaru Forester , it looks more like a raised station wagon than a SUV.

Whatever it may be, I think the X3 did really good for such an old car....new X3 shouldn't have much problems with either two new cars  I like the GLK more than the Q5 so far, but I have to say that I have yet to see the Q5 in real life.
