The Maser being the better handler is expected IMO.

Re: Autozeitung : BMW 750i vs Maserati Quattroporte S

Buying a 750i is a safer card and the bimmer will be more common than a Maserati on the roads. The new 7-series is newer car so it should be the better allrounder. Its expected that the The Maserati is being more agile around the bends and it should also be predictable that the bimmer offer a more comfortable ride.
Realibility, better warranties, better allrounder, design are the reasons why I pick the bimmer over the italian.

Im not sold on the Quattroporte, I prefer the GranTurismo, that is a sexy car. I even prefer S-class over Quattroporte

Sorry to burst your Bubble about reliability but what makes you think the 7er is the safer-card! The Maserati Quattroporte S is the performance version so it has the lastest upgrades. On top of that being on the market
for a little while longer means the production-quality has improved which is the case for most cars being on the market for a year or two. The Maserati also come with a compeditive warranty package that matches
the german makes. -->> 2008 Maserati Quattroporte Warranty ? Find Maserati Quattroporte 2008 Warranty Information at InternetAutoGuide.com

No, I believe the Maserati is just as compeditive... If it beats the 750i (which it shouldn`t have a problem doing) its the one to get!
