Yannis: at least it's original, a word the people at Audi have never heard of.
You are too critic with every car maker except BMW. I like BMW a lot, but nowadays they are not exempt of doing bad things.

I really like the French car here. We don't French cars here in the U.S. anymore, so my quesiton is what are they like? Are they closer to German cars or British cars or somehting different entirely? What do they drive, feel, smell like?

I have only driven C4 and compare to my babybimmer, steering, handling isnt even close. My car has better interior materials too.
The steering wheel, well middle part on the steering wheel isn't moving when you turn left or right.

Strong sides with Citroen is the comfort, comfy seats and good suspension. The realibilty is so so.

This is my limited experience with Citroen

I have to say that my experiences of French cars are strictly limited to a couple of Peugeots (605, 307) and an old Citroen van. As JM said it's probably comfort (and in some cases interior space) that the French are applauded for. That said, the French are responsible for some of the best-handling hot hatches of all time as well, according to car magazines such as Evo. The biggest downfall would be reliability, although they've been making massive improvements in that field too.

I agree with this conclusion. Citroën have a great reputation of making comfortable and steady-at-speed cars. As regards the French cars in general, Peugeot and Renault besides Citroën, these are more like Brittish or Italian cars in terms of feel on the inside.

Renault have a great safety reputation.

The Citroen C5 is indeed a solid competitor here. It's not very sporty from most accounts but where it impresses is in comfort / ride comfort and value. Probably one of the most attractive and technologically advanced cars to come out of France in a long time. I wouldn't mind owning one at all.

This is how the 3 series sedan front should had looked.

I never understood why they didn't change it during the facelift.

C class looks great but the interior is not as good as it could had been.

I'm glad they didn't. The new front on the E90 is fantastic. Looks so good on the streets when you see it.
