GT-r again

It has to much of a "street racer" rep to be a track king. Should of kept to chasing after the Evos ans WRX's NOT Ferrari's, Corvettes, Maseratis, Zonda's and so on

The technology involved in the GTR is far beyond the levels of the EVO and the WRX. This is a world class car which deserves to be compared with the best cars on the planet.

It doesn't matter if a Zonda buyer never considers buying the GTR, this is about comparing the best cars in the world right now.

No point in arguing the case for the GT-R, Monster. We should know better - because it's Japanese, it's rubbish.

No one wants to consider an 80K, benchmark setting large coupe as a frame of reference by which we can ascertain the relative bang for buck (who'd ever heard of that concept?) of more expensive, more exotic and more desirable machinery.

Even if I were to try and elicit some semblance of appreciation with this lovely, self-explanatory pic:

Now, if they can't appreciate the magnitude of the effort from this pic, then, they're in denial.

Re: Lords of the Ring: The Return of the Kings

The best cars in the world?
ok from that point of view..you can add alot of cars..
but yeah it doesent fit in here with the rest..
Okay it might ( and thats a BIG might) have the speed to match...
But there is sooooo much more to those other cars which the GTR lacks..

PS
Viper sucks though

The GTR is probably not the best car in the world, but surely it is one of the best. Guess we have a different definition of what makes a great car, and we will have to agree to disagree.

Re: Lords of the Ring: The Return of the Kings

Two points:

The Zonda is too special to be compared with any car on the world not just the GT-R,secondly the GT-R is simply too good to be ignored it definitely has the potential to shame the best out there and the V-spec is not even out yet.

Zonda-F.....

GT-R..........

Yeah, nicely said Tarek - in a nice visual imagery kind of way.

Look people, no one here is saying that the GT-R is better than a Zonda, GT2 or other exotica. The point at hand is that the GT-R is an expensive, premium sporting car - nothing more - that has an amazing dynamic repetoire relative to its sticker price.

It's not perfect and it certainly isn't full of emotional appeal in the way that a true exotic is. (The exact same thing can be said for the ZR-1, which has just as little if not less outright class and desirability)

Of course a Zonda F is fifty gazillion times more evocative and more alluring than a Nissan. But that doesn't change the fact that it's still one helluva Nissan - an amazing car with amazing credentials - irrespective of its snob appeal.
