Don't know why Astons are so 'slow' above 200 km/h... 0-300 km/h times: 55,0 s - Vanquish 57,1 s - Vanquish S (???) 64,1 s - DBS 74,6 s - DB9 Touchtronic (haha)

But anyway I don't think torque factors as much much for high speed acceleration as gearing and drag. GT2 has that huge wing, so I doubt it has lesser drag. So it is probably gearing. Z06 has really tall 6th ratio, wonder if ZR1 is using the same. Also the superchargers must be sapping a lot of the HP for it self at high speeds. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: AMS Nardo High Speed Test 2008 ^ Didn't know that, but then never underestimate Porsche magic ![]() The GT2 just somehow very efficiently applies all of it's power to the road which must counts in saving time. Anyone has an info on that SL prototype? is it the FL one? and why it's slower than the pre-FL SL65? |
