That is not how Enzo liked it, he believed the horses had to be in front of the carriage.

I have no problem with front engined Ferrari - 599 GTB being prime example. But the California is not my cup of tea, but I get what Ferrari is going after with the car, and it will sell well - especially around 90210 zip code.

Just like Porsche did with the Cayenne, Ferrari are selling their soul for some quick cash. Since they have parted with Fiat they need financial security and that it something that's going to be offered by the California. This is the business side of a automobile manufacturing. Don't be surprised if Lamborghini joins the part as well.
