Definitely agree with you here, ree. The (obvious) fact remains that every company borrows styles from or the other when a particular style is in trend. It is how design and marketing are carried out.

The MB is honestly useless to me unless it has the AMG package. I'm having a hard time deciding between the MB and BMW though just because I know that the pictures don't really help the car. Love the rear and side profile. The only thing that worries me is the front bumper...

Btw, regarding LS vs. F01 rear lights ... The rear profile of LS looks almost a carbon copy of E60 5er. Also the CELIS LED strips were featured on FL E39 before. While F01 rear lights design is E32 rer light design redux ... with FL E65 chrome strip & integrated reverse light. So, kind a mixture of E32 & FL E65.

OK i'll say again: NOTHING will make the S class look like DOS. Looks, tech, ride or otherwise. Sure other manufacturers can/will make good products, probably even better in some aspects, but nothing will make even the pre fl S class look/feel obsolete. Fact.

Just like the S class will never do the same to other cars, that era of an ultra dominating car in a segment is over, scott only raised the DOS/Windows affair because he knew it was big and not true and then it will creat polemic wich lead us to maximum debate and so publicity to the new 7er.
