I like the normal S-class but in dark colours, like black. Lights colours on S-class dont suit as good as dark, then I prefer Audi A8 instead.

Ok lets do a nice side by side comparison between the S(standard) and the New 7.The S and 7 are both good looking cars in the right colors and with the right wheels.So now lets put the argument the 7 looks better than the S in standard trim to rest.

I wont decide now, Im giving the 7-series a chance when I see it in real life, those huge kindeys takes time to get used two. The S-class has exist for years now and you get used to it looks, the 7er has only existed for two days. hard to make decision, ask me in 6 months again
Both A8 and S-class been on the market for years, for now Audi S8 is the best looking exterior in its class.



BmW boys and MB boys are so blinded by their brand that they are forgetting the beautiful Audi A8.

IMO the A8 has started to looks a little dated now,especially the rear quarter profile

I'd say the A8 is well designed but not beautiful. The design is good but doesn't evoke any emotions and is in that way a bit too conservative for me to fully appreciate it. It's like a properly cooked meal of pasta with nothing but salt on it, no spices no nothing.

Speaking of the rims you mentioned earlier in the thread they are small for the sake of comfort. Larger rims have a negative impact on comfort which is a big drawback in a segment where comfort is comes before everything. The S-class looks fine without AMG-kit and the front bumper is no worse than the one on the F01 which needs more character as well. So the problem with the standard S-class isn't so much the design but the front bumper which could have been designed in a better way, everything else is pristine.

In the end it's not about packing the most tech but packing tech which will be of use and benefit for the customers. They could careless about things such as voice recognition and the ability to change a gazzilion settings relating to the gearbox speed, suspension and engine mapping.

Why do we need official shots now,i have compared the cars in nearly the same angle and color.What more do we need.We are not comparing how good the official photographers for Mercedes and BMW are,Are we?

Its shows that photos cant be trustable all the time. A car need to be seen and judged in real life, a apperance can change in real life. People are so fast to judge, particulary blind people .
Looking at the photos I posted above, they are not very good, makes the cars looking plain.

I agree but that doesn't change anything,I just wanted to prove that the S class does not look bland or boring in the standard trim as a few people here suggested.
