![]() | Re: Automobile Mag - 08 Bentley Azure vs 08 RR Phantom Drophead - Battle of the Bodac Ha Hassan, I remember when that Stefan Zwicky chair was new ....in the late 1980s. It is kind of an ironic joke on the famous lounge chair by Le Corbusier.

I did (obviously) not know that. The thing I was thinking of is the front end of both cars, they seem to be very related.

![]() | Re: Automobile Mag - 08 Bentley Azure vs 08 RR Phantom Drophead - Battle of the Bodac Yeah, the Bentley Arnage was a 'sportier' version of the Rolls-Royce Silver Seraph. ![]() A 2-door convertible based on the Silver Seraph had previously been done with the Corniche. It was only in production for two years from 2000-2002 (374 were built). ![]() The Azure was an entirely new model ....it was not based on the Corniche even though it shares the same origins.

![]() | Re: Automobile Mag - 08 Bentley Azure vs 08 RR Phantom Drophead - Battle of the Bodac ^ The Silver Seraph had a V12 while the Arnage had a twin-turbo V8, [slightly] 'sportier' suspension, larger wheels and brakes.

Hm ... Current Azure is based on Arnage, isn't it? And Arnage is just a rebadged & retuned Silver Seraph, isn't it? So, that makes Azure a restyled Corniche ... ![]() | |

![]() | Re: Automobile Mag - 08 Bentley Azure vs 08 RR Phantom Drophead - Battle of the Bodac ^ yeah, but not exactly. The Corniche was based on the Silver Seraph ...but the Azure was created from scratch (based on the completely overhauled Arnage). If you place the Azure and Corniche side-by-side, they are actually quite different from each other -- and technically, they are worlds apart.
