Still, they shouldn't need to use this kind of depreciative ads. | Deceptive?? Would take a severe lack of sense of humor to come to that conclusion. Anyway, I love these to and fro ad wars, I hope MB responds - may be the chick dreams of ditching him for a dude with SL63. | | | | | Devotee

Still, they shouldn't need to use this kind of depreciative ads. | I couldn't believe it when I saw the ad a few years ago in a magazine. It's still my favorite car ad up to this day.
I like these cheeky ads. You gotta be pretty creative in order not to be lame. | | | | | Fanatic

These ads are often very funny, but I don't like that kind of mentality. Mocking the competition without any argument is not what I consider right for such a carmaker. And BMW always does that. It's kind of childish and sometimes very harsh.
If, like Scott says, MB is very upset about this ad (would surprise me, it's not the worse BMW did to them) and that it has an influence on the discussions about a cooperation (I think not...), then it will prove that it was an incredibly stupid move from BMW. | | | | | Contributor

No, they don't respond to such advertising ... They start it.
Don't you remember ... one of the many ... "I Drive? No, you drive!" campaign for Comand system (S-class) after E65 with iDrive hits the showrooms?
And there was another in Germany - mocking the 5er campaign slogan "Someone has to lead."

Raoul, do you really think they actually care about some guys from web playing jokes with ads?
I don't think so.
In that case Audi would sue BMW several times already for numerous funny ads with frogs and horses and text This is why we don't have front wheel drive... | | | | | Devotee
