There is no complaint here. The whole just started because I made a joke, and it was taken seriously... I agree it was not the point of the thread, sorry for the annoyance...Maybe a mod could shift it to a more adapted thread, like 7er vs S like Artist said, if it's really bothering here.

BTW, it could be interesting to hear about the innovations that this F01 will bring with it. It seems nobody has a real clue about it... Could be interesting to have some Creative Marketing leaks here, don't you think?

Mercedes-Benz really defines what a luxury car should be. I'm sure every car company put something new out. Look at Infiniti with the lane departure system and back up camara. Everyone gets some credit for their innovations.

BUT...Only Mercedes-Benz creates ground breaking technology that draws the worlds attention. Yes, we can go back a forth with the BMW vs. Benz all day.

Yes, BMW can handle good, but Mercedes-Benz has everything else.

Can somebody find a complete list which new technologies/features were first introduced with the E65 7-series? I think I know most of them but a complete list would be nice.

Yup, the idea of the column shifter is not new. However it was the first "modern" luxury car with a column shifter. It was also the first 6-speed automatic transmission and the first drive-by-wire transmission.
