I just read that article again. I honestly think the journalist writing that article is mistaken. What he is referring to is the transmission setting (S, C, or M). Unlike cars with ABC (like the S63/S65/CL63/CL65/SL63/SL65, where the suspension settings ARE linked with the S/C/M button), the S/C/M button only controls the transmission settings in the 2008 model year C63, and it does NOT have any effect on the suspension. There is absolutely NO indication from any official MB press release about ANY form of adjustable suspension/dampers for the 2008 C63. And other than this Sport Car International article, I have not seen any other magazine saying the suspension is adjustable. I think the Sports Car International article is simply incorrect. The C63 (at least for model year 2008) does NOT have any adjustable suspension.
I remember reading that AMG decided against putting adjustable suspension in the C63 to save on costs.
