To me the S5 can't hold a single candle to the R8 in any respect at all. Even if the performance of the R8 and the M3 are similar the R8 has something special... to me, the S5 doesn't.

If someone think these two cars are ugly need to see a doctor....seriosly.

I pick the M3 for its awesome package. When you buy a M3 you buy it for more than just design. M3 V8 is capable for everyday use combined with performance, driving pleasure and beauty. All the S5 can compete with (IMO) is the design but that isnt enough in this comparison. If you like to drive you choose M3.
Not that it matters but E92 has a roomier backseat than A5. At least when I sat in them.

With all due respect, IMO, yes it does. Either that or you are blinded by your passion for Audi. Having seen both of them in real life, visually, they are each others equal. Two completely differently designed cars, yet both tremendous looking. If you can't see that or think the car is 'ugly' then to me you are the typical BMW hater.
