Well I thought we'd never end up to this...

But we're putting our QP on sale. You'll never know how owning a Maserati feels like until you have done it. And although it has been a glamorous year and a half, time is ripe for us to move on to something we'd enjoy even more.

So the plan for now:

A8L -> to be replaced by the 730d
QP -> will be replaced by... Touran 1.4TSI sport
MX-5 -> still keeping for at least a year
Jazz -> we want to replace this for a Golf 1.4TSI, but sis won't budge

I you could wait a little longer and see what the new Panamera is like

Touran is the second best car Vw has ever built!
Is the Golf a GT or something, how many BHP ?
MX-5 ... sell!!

A8 goes for a 7-series .. explain why ?!
and in the first place why did you guys get rid of that Bentley!!

Hahaha, good one, 'explain why'. Every non Audi fanboy in the world will take the new 7er over that old and done A8.

yea the new a8 will (or perhaps s-class facelift)

seriously i'd wait until the next gen a8 comes out, and if it's not appealing to you you can always go back to 7er which after 1 or 2 years should have all the big-debut glitch sorted out. it's risky to buy first year car especially when there are tons of new tech in it....

btw beside idrive 2.0 what's really new in 7er? like the distronic 2.0 and pre-safe of s-class? been too lazy to read all the press release.

Sounds pretty good!! A bit sad, that your family is going to sell the QP!! But I think, you make the right decision.

I know most people would ask, why would you trade a Maserati for a VW?! But the reasons are that our needs are changing... And the Maser, it just doesn't fit our needs anymore. So that needs to go. We're getting a 170bhp, 240Nm Touran Sport, it's a good deal and it'll mainly be used as the family car. The A8L has now become our 'status car'.

MX-5 - I'm trying really hard not to sell this, because it still works fine. If I do sell this, it's gonna be a Honda Type-R or a GTI replacing it. I'm sure you'll disapprove of the former.

Well, firstly the A8L is a V8 petrol and although we like it a lot we want to go for a diesel next. Lower fuel consumption and the torque are the reasons. Next, the A8 we bought is great and all, but is optioned quite poorly and the colour choices are all reasonable but not exactly what we'd go for. It's a second hand car, that's why... And, we haven't tried this generation of BMWs yet (the last we had was an E46). Anyway, the A8L is not an urgent sell.

those big kidney grilles really reminds me of how audi has its big grilles. BMW perhaps copying a audi design que? To have a strong vehicle "face" that stands out and is instantly recongisable.
