On the road vs Audi R8

In fact, you find yourself short-shifting and soft-pedalling the throttle to give the Audi a chance to catch up so you can see how hard it's trying. The game has moved on.


On the track vs Porsche 911 GT3
Put against the GT3 on the west circuit at Bedford Autodrome (1.8 miles in length) the times were:

911 GT3 - 1:22.6
GT-R - 1:21.7

Audi R8 - 1:22.10

So just barely slower than GTR even though it having alot less power. thing with GTR is that even my granny could drive it fast, whilst she could not do the same in the GT3. Stick a racing car driver in both vehicles and I reckon the GT3 would be faster.

It's not about which car is the fastest around the track, its all about who you have the most fun with and offer the best driving experince. Average Joe will never be able to be this fast around a track with their cars anyways.

It isn’t surprising that the GTR beats the GT3 on track…that was the purpose of the project. The surprising thing is that it keeps up with the Z06 all the way to 100 mph! Those turbos work very..very well!

For ~ $80,000 the GTR is the best performance car on the market IMO.

I am very interested in what the new ZR1 is capable of…can’t wait for a test against the GTR.

Nope, the grandma in the GT-R would have probably beaten the race driver in the GT3.
