Yes, this going to be the heavyweight title fight for sure. This GT-R is the Japanese Corvette in price, but far more sophisticated.

I agree. The GTR is far more sophisticated…but the “raw” factor is what makes the Z06 unique.
The dream test would be: F430 scuderia vs. ZR1 vs. Carrera GT vs. GTR

I guess in terms of overall performance the CGT would win but…if we take price under consideration the result would be different. It is amazing how GM and Nissan (Renault) are able to produce such cars!

Carrera GT? Porsche doesnt build the car anymore. If you want a supercar add Zonda F.

Somewhat. It drops 4/10ths to the Z06 despite a quicker launch (2/10ths quicker than the Z06 through 40mph). The Z06 is going to be seriously traction-limited throughout at least half of a 100mph run; it can still light up in 3rd gear if the driver isn't careful.
This is down to the massive grip afforded by AWD and the GTR's tires. The GTR's tires (on the left) clearly have a more aggressive performance tread pattern and are likely softer, rated at 140 treadwear to the Goodyear's 220.

Utterly dumb choice by GM with those tires. They look almost like mud + snow tires, LOL. Apparently, GM have finally seen the light and dropped Goodyear in favor of Michelin for the ZR1.

I'm more impressed and surprised with the GTR's track performance against the GT3; they had only ever really benchmarked against the Turbo.
Yeah, I agree. For the money, the GTR is tough to beat.

Those are NOT the tires that are fitted on the Z06. The Z06 has runflat GSD3 Eagle F1's and the treadpattern looks like this:

The GTR's RE070s are runflats as well. Which makes its acheivement against the Porsche that much more remarkable. With MPSC's fitted, it should be a bit faster around a track.

I believe your information is incorrect. Look again:

I have never seen the Z06 equipped with GSD3's like you've shown.
Per GM's website, this is the fitment for the Z06: Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar
