4k wouldn't make that much of a difference on your monthly annuity.

for me it would. my budget is already streched and Im planning to keep my car for some years unless I win the lottery or something. Trust me, if I had the cash I wouldnt be driving around in a 120i.

Are you feeling OK, Tarek? I think you did a mistake there, you probably meant: "R32 in a heartbeat, don't like the BMW". j/k

I don't like the look of the Beemer.
But I'll take it in a heartbeat over the R32. The 1 just feels more special, more premium, and doesn't need a giant grille and enormous air intakes for that. The Golf almost looks "tuning" and I don't like it at all.

And of course, nothing beats RWD for me... The motor of the Beemer surely is better, too.

I remember Tarek from way back on germancarfans.

I would have to go with the R32 here. It looks more special then the BMW and comes with the DSG transmission.

How bout neither? 135i for me.

While the 128 has more than adequate power and performance, I can't get around the mundane exterior styling, especially when you compare it to the 135; there is no comparison.
