I'd rather have the A5/S5 design. They look amazing!
The sad part is even R8 has the same cheap IKEA christmas lights - the only part about it I don't like. I also hate the LEDs in 911 Turbo. I just hate it when you can actually see the discreet LEDs when they are lit.

Also german Automotorsport compared bmw 325i Touring against C-class Wagon and the bimmer won this comparison.
Seem to me that the new C-class have hard time winning car comparisons in the media.
Based on the review by Autozeitung here, it was very close. The C-Class in this comparison performed very well against the Audi and BMW. It only lost out big time in the driving dynamics department. Look at the Gesamtwertung section and you can see how the C-Class Elegance tested here is inferior to the Audi and BMW in driving dynamics, yet is superior / equal in all other aspects.

If the C-Class here had been an Avantgarde model instead of Elegance it would have been even closer, points wise.

The price and value aspect also brought the C-Class down. Other than that I would say the C-Class Elegance did quite well in this comparison.

Oh no no... R8 LED lights look really good. There is absolutely nothing cheap about them. People drool all over them.

I agree. Pictures and video clips etc. are one thing but nothing prepares you for that moment when you first see one out on the roads.

This is very strange. According to some the S5 is slower than the A4 3,2 on certain tracks. Should they really be that dependant on being on a favourable track or are there maybe some good performance options?

I think this is a case of some putting too much importance on one single test result (Hockenheim club circuit). That, IMO, was an anomoly. Not representative of the A4 3.2. This result is more in line with expectation. The A4 may have slightly better weight distribution (which in itself is worthy of discussion), but I find it improbable that it will erase +74g (per Auto Zeitung test weight on these two cars), -89 PS and -110Nm.

Re: AutoZeitung: Audi 3.2FSI quattro vs BMW 330i vs Mercedes C350

in hockenheim test the A4 had the extra optional adaptive chassi suspension. I wonder if the A4 had this in the AZ test.

EDIT:
The A4 had the adaptive chassi suspension in AZ test...
