What do you think about making a poll for this??

I would definitely go with the Bentley!! More elegant, more classy. It's just the "old-school" automobil with absolutely timeless design!!

Re: Bentley Brooklands or Rolls-Royce Phantom Coupe?

Brooklands without thinking twice. There is an old-school warmth to the design of the Bentley (which is completely missing in the Rolls).

Re: Bentley Brooklands or Rolls-Royce Phantom Coupe?

Since I'm a fan of futuristic modern avant-garde design ... Phantom Coupe without any doubt.

A true 21st century design. Brooklands is way too classic. For old men only. And the nostalgic ones.

Yes, Bentley design is more fluent, more classic, less arrogant, more elegant. While RR offers modern approach - with more chunky design, more flashy design, less classic but more futuristic.

I'm supporting progress & change, not status quo & old forces. ... Therefore RR seems a logical choice to me.

PS: go and see both cars in person. Brooklands looks like a little gray mouse against mighty in-your-face RR, which has enormous presence. Yet people who look for understatement & classic look will definitely choose Bentley, while others will opt for RR. I'm still eager to see what design path will VW choose for the next generation of Arnage & Co. ... Retro classic, or more modern?

Re: Bentley Brooklands or Rolls-Royce Phantom Coupe?

Of course the Brooklands not just it looks better inside out (IMO) but it actually outclasses the RR in almost everyway,it even manages to look more masculine and mean compared to the soft rounded feminine RR.Tons of royal class is just associated with the Bentley..simply missing from the RR IMO.

Re: Bentley Brooklands or Rolls-Royce Phantom Coupe?

Was never a fan of Brookland cause it misses the true classic proportions so the rolls for me.

Re: Bentley Brooklands or Rolls-Royce Phantom Coupe?

I agree with most of the things that were said...
the Phantom doesn't match the Brooklands in sheer royal presence...
the swooping belt line of the Bentley is magnificent...
However... I highly respect the way in which some design elements were introduced on the RR... the suicide doors are an example... they give the car a modern still highly exclusive look. And while the Bentley wins it on the outside, I believe it lags behind in the interior department, mainly because nothing "21st century" is to be found in the interior... while the craftsmanship is truly amazing, the interior looks too dated for a 2008 car, IMO of course.
So, RR Phantom Coupe gets my vote...
