Re: The best? Porsche Turbo/GT3/GT2 -

You're right of course martinbo.
Different cars, different concept, different experience.
It is also part of the appeal of the 911: everybody can find its own "perfect" 911: cabrio, high-revving, turbo-powered, luxurious GT, sportcar or hard-core racetool...There is a 911 for every (good) taste.

@J_me - Admittedly the GT3 is the best looking of the three I acknowledge. But in the interests of this poll, I am judging the 911s based on which will provide the most extreme all-round experience. And, there's no doubting it, the new GT2 is the most extreme 911 we've yet seen.
In contrast to you, I'd rather have two cars of distinctly varied character rather than a high-revving engine in both. To illustrate further, I'd rather have the following combinations:
A 911 GT2 plus an M3 DCT (preferably a CSL should that ever materialise)
A GT-R plus a GT3 RS
A F430 plus a GT-R
A M3 DCT plus an '08 STI
You get the picture - it's variation and character differences I'm after.

I voted for the GT3, cause my heart roots for the underdog, overachiever. Though the GT2 is a tempting proposition if I actually had the means to own one. The turbo in its current form, as competent as it is, is a let down for me cause it doesn't tower over its competition like its predecessors used to, but no denying that it is probably the better of the the three for daily use.

I agree with Walter, but that hasn't stopped me from ordering a GT2 to park next to my RS. BTW I'm driving a 997 turbo 6 speed at Homestead next weekend (also the Z06 and instructing a guy with a 74 RSR).
