I would choose petrol version..because of sound and linear power delivery..Difference is small between those two options but I´m a petrol-head and gasoline always taker first place in this matter.. | | | | | Fanatic

Not an easy choice to make.
On the one hand, the 35i is so much more fun, with the noise, the power delivering, the revving, the ability to push even from 1000rpm.
On the other hand...the 35d is an excellent motor, powerful, silent and very pleasant...and it has a lower consumption, furthermore of cheaper diesel.
So I would say, it depends of how you drive, where, how many kms per year, and also how expensive petrol is where you live.
Here in Europe, the petrol/diesel are so expensive...ANd it won't get any better...
So, I would take the 35d, because 1) I am in Europe so it is too expensive to drive a petrol motor here, and 2) I don't drive my cars hard, I prefer comfort to sport. So I can do without the noise, sporty character and revving of the petrol. | | | | | GCZ's High Court

The difference in Croatia between petrol and diesel is following (in our currency):
Petrol: 8,25 kn/L
EuroDiesel: 8,05 kn/L
Like there's no difference at all. | | | | | The Photo Phanatic
