I think they do the correct thing not measuring those times, because when you do that kind of test with an automátic the gearbox kicks down, so the times can't be compared to those of the manual car.

Yap. AMS never tests flexibility of automatic cars.

They could still measure it simply based on a timely basis (the number of seconds). Either way in most AMS comparisons, the 0-100 km/h times tend to be really similar to the manufacturer claims.

I think the American or even British publications do a much better job at "abusing the cars to get that lowest 0-100 km/h time".

But in normal conditions you dont abuse your car to get low numbers. I put more trust in european carmags becuase they test the way normal persons drive their cars.
