You got me there, this decision is one made in vain! Since I have driven neither the M5 nor the CLS63 that is, regretfully, the only thing on which I can base my selection.

Edit: I made the Just_me mistake of misspelling CLS.

M5 is only faster to 200km coz of the SMG III,M5 for me.
