| Re: Autozeitung: Aud A6 2.8 FSI vs. Mercedes E280 Comfort: Both cars have an air suspension! Especially the suspension of the E-Class is fantastic. The E-Class is a car for travelling. The seats (multi-contur and ventilated) are comfortable. The Audi doesn't have ventilated seats, but the sport seats are also very good. They also afford great comfort and upholstery. The suspension of the A6 isn't that balanced, like the one in the E 280. Nevertheless, the Audi leads a trump in the chapter of control. The MMI is easier to handle, then the older COMMAND in the Mercedes. engine and transmission: The 2.8 FSI is a beautiful balanced and extremely powerful. The data of the 2.8 FSI with 6-speed-manual are comparable to the data of the 3.2 FSI with automatic transmission (tested a year ago) - but the 2.8 FSI is about 6000 € cheaper. The engine of the E 280 is a bit more ponderous and not that agile. It also has a worse fuel consumption. The Audi was tested with manual transmission, the Mercedes with the 7G-tronic. Both transmissions harmonise perfect to the character and engine of the car. The other chapters of the test will follow...

| Re: Autozeitung: Aud A6 2.8 FSI vs. Mercedes E280 In my eyes E class after the facelift is not as harmonic as it was before. Anyway i would take the A6 cause it beats E class in every possible way (apart from comfort and resale price) in my book.

I think the E class looks all the better after the facelift and I would prefer it over the A6 in all of those criteria... The E class has a wonderful classic interior and exterior in my opinion and it is a true luxury car in every sense of the word....
