Yeah, that's my opinion too.

E55 wagon has no competition really until M5 Touring and RS6 Avant arrive so it's obvious that it was going to win.

Im checking out the prices and amaze me to see how cheap M5 seem to be. Its a real bargain, its practical, comfortable, fast and handles very well. Even if BMW raised the price for M5 it would still sell very well.

Compared to AMG cars M5 has a much better value for money. No wonder BMW sells thousands M cars each year while AMG sells only a limited number.

AMG have a lot more models and engines than M. I cant see BMW buidling more cars than AMG or you mean only M3 vs C55 and M5 vs E55?

In UK all M5/M6 has been sold out for the next year.

When SL65 was presented i read that they were planing to sell 60 cars(!!!) until the end of that year. I 'm quite certain that M outsell AMG by a large margin.

Well you can't compare SL65 sales numbers with the sales number of cars like the M3, M5 and M6. The SL65 is alot more expensive and is on the edge of being called a super sportscar and due to the price it won't sell that much.

I think there are more M5 than E55 and more M3 than C55 but if you include all AMG models I belive AMG sell more cars than M.

M5/M6 has been sold out for the next year in UK so I dont think BMW have to worry about M3 and M5 selling bad.

If you take out C55 and E55 the rest of the AMG models don't sell very much. Anyway it's hard to say since there are no official numbers as far as i know.

AMG sells about 20K cars a year worldwide. Not sure what BMW's M division sells. I seriously doubt that BMW sells more M cars than AMG does because of the sheer number of models AMG makes, but it could be possible on the back of the M3. Doesn't make sense to compare the two really or to take out certain models hear and there. Thats called spinning the data to make a point which doesn't have any point in the first place. Who cares or what difference does it make who sells more, these cars aren't about sheer sales volume.
