Bye bye BMW warranty. If they find the car chipped, ALL warranties will vaporise.

And besides, when they put a chipped BMW on a service machine at the dealership when the car is being checked up for whatever reason, the computer will restore everything to the original BMW values, so the chip becomes useless.

Oh come on, Klier. There shouldn't be any issue with MikeJ expressing his opinion, even if you disagree with his reasoning and/or choice.

Many many many people modify their cars today. I would too if I had a turbo engine. Let a tuner with good reputation do it and that something would go seriosly wrong is slim. It all depends on how much you modify the engine.

To name one, Kellener is a good and well-known BMW tuner.

Off course it's the Bimmer for me, not just because of the great desing and package, but mainly because of this remarkable diesel engine!

Im going wild and claim that Golf 1.4 TDi (170hp, turbo/supercharger) is a better buy than GTI.

Re: Auto Zeitung - BMW 123d vs. Volkswagen Golf GTi

It's TSI, turbocharged-supercharged-injection.

This was first used in the Lancia Delta S4 Group B rally car, and had a power output of ~440 hp default and could go to over 600 hp if necessary.

I wonder if you'd chip the TSI.
