Auch, warum sagt man Erlkönig wenn man spy-pictures schaut?

If my german doesn't make sense I'll happily try in english...
Wow, you're german is good - I'm impressed!!

Wirtschaftlichkeit means efficiency (Christian, bitte korrigiere mich, wenn ich mit dem englischen Begriff falsch liegen sollte!) - Normally it is used, when a car has a good fuel economy and taxes aren't to high for the car.
It is efficient to drive this car, because the attendant costs are financeable...

I hope this is right - if it isn't please correct me!!

Wimmer: You're correct Ree!

When they use the word Wirtschaftlichkeit in a review, they're usually referring to running costs from a maintenance and fuel payments point of view.

To be honest, I have no clue why they use this word. I've never really thought about it either. In German they have some weird sayings like "Ein Sportwagen des reinen Wassers..." which in English means "A sports car of pure water...".

Thanks!

I understand the reinen Wassers, that's like calling it pure blood. Erlkönig always confused me, due to the normal meaning of the word.

Regarding "Erlkönig": Interesting question indeed!
The "Erlkönig" , which appears in a Goethe poem, describes a mystic beeing. That's ASFAIK the reason for using this term for prototypes in German.

If we can belief wikipedia, the word "Erlkönig" become characterized by two authors of an automobile magazine!

They wrote short poems about the prototypes in the style of the Erlkönig-peom by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe.
