Did you mean to say because the 335i is lighter? So because the 335i is lighter it's better technically, or because it's rear wheel drive? I'm trying to understand your position, it's to general. Because the track times offer no advantage one way or the other!

I drove 335i E92 two days ago and trust me, its no sportcar. Just as comfortable as any 3-serie, just another engine. I also drove 335d E92 the same day.

My position is that it's not only the driver that makes it a faster car. It has a slightly better laptime despite the lack of a V8 and it has less power. The fact it weighs less is just another strongpoint showing the 335i is the better car. and technically superior.

The better car? That's funny! If that was the case it would win most the comparisons regardless of cost, as it stands now it's the only reason for any of it's victories! Furthermore, would you like to see another comparison where the S5 beat the 335i in every single catagory? Considering it only takes six hundreds of a second to impress you, you shoud really be impressed with this one!

Wasn't there some test where the 335 even beat the RS4 around a track. Some people are going to deny it out of their brand loyalty, but the fact is for a car almost $12000 cheaper than the S5, the 335 kicks some serious ass. Not to mention cars in the same price range from the Audi don't even come close.

I wouldn't say that the E92 is technically superior. All in all, I think they're even but 335i seems to be slightly sportier and S5 more GT type comfortable coupe.

I read one such comparison where the 335i beat the RS4, I've also read where the S5 did as well. Don't let one little blip fool you, the RS4 is faster and handles better then the 335i and the S5. The M3 hasn't beaten the RS4 in each comparison either, so to think the 335i is better would be silly!

Like I said ; I drove the 335i two days ago. I can tell you this, S5 need to be one damn special car to be worth the extra it costs over a 335i.
