German Car Fan Vs Brand Fan - 09-02-2007, 08:46 PM

Now this is a very simple poll..
Most of us here have 1 german brand that we like more than the other..
So imagene a scenario where you cant buy your fav german brand car..
What will your next choice be??
Will you go to the other germans (MB,VW,BMW,AUDI,OPEL)
or would you go to a non german brand..?

I guess this will tell us how many true german car fanatics we have..
and how many brand jockeys

Enjoy

Though I have my favorites brands, I think I prefer German cars in general. I own a M3 and a Jetta and some day hope to own a 911. And may be an S class once I am old. I guess that makes me a German car fan.

Well, you can tell by my garage ( MB's and BMW) and my intention to replace
the E with another German, and looking forward to add a Porsche!...
I'm deffinitely German car fan, all brands have their forte and their particular charm, I would like to enjoy them all

Currently my favorite brand is Audi, with Mercedes pulling a close second with Lexus in third. I would throw Porsche in there but they don't offer enough diversity!

Well, it would really depend on what type of car I was planning on purchasing; my answer could very much vary on the type of vehicle - Saloon, coupe, etc.

But for the sake of the thread: If I couldn't purchase a vehicle from my favourite German brand (Mercedes-Benz), I'd most certainly buy a Lexus. That shouldn't surprise anyone.

You mean my favourite German car brand? If so, yeah, that's one of the reasons I decided to join.

Make no mistake; even though I love Japanese cars, I have a great deal of interest and appreciation for all German vehicles. You name it - MB, Audi, VW, Porsche and even though I don't really show it, BMW.

Hell, I have interest in cars period - no matter who makes them.

Re: German Car Fan Vs Brand Fan - 09-03-2007, 05:54 AM

Like Bruce said, I think it would depend on what kind of car I would get. Examples, I would buy an A6 instead of a 5er. But I would buy a Range Rover if I couldnt get an X5. Or a Toyota Auris (yes I'm being serious) or Golf if I couldn't get a 1 series. In general I much prefer German cars, but to be honest there are alot of better cars out there.
