Eventhough I'm an MB fan I'm not biased at all but in terms of design the new C-class slaughters the A4 in every single way. The new C-class looks new, stands out and look very premium. The new A4 will not turn any head expect for when the head lights are turned on.
It show that Audi are really confused and don't know what direction to take. The front is B7 + S5 bumper, the sides of the cars are A6 inspired and the rear is straight from the A5. It's not an ugly car but it's a mess and will blend in to traffic like it's not a new car. Heck even the 3 years old E90 is a much more interesting car.

First: C-class
Sexy, interesting and perfect in every single aspect.

Second: 3er
Attractive car which needs a little touch up.

Third: A4
Bland and very uninspiring. Biggest disappointment this year.
Even though the new C-Class was constructed from the ground up, without the sports package I prefer both the 3-Series and the A4! We mine as well leave the Avangarde out of this for the time being, until the S/RS4 get released!

Re: Official Comparison Thread: New A4 vs E90 3er vs W204 C-Class

Oh, forgot to speak about the interior of the A4: too complicated and too busy I find. Not very harmonious. And copy of A5 of course....

Overall this Audi has no originality; furthermore the round side does not go withe the sharp front...

When I was waiting for the C-Class and the photos came out: wow it is there, it is a fully new car, some like it some don't, but you speak about it, you look at it, you compare it to the old model, you want to try it...
Same for the 3-Series.

But the Audi: I waited for it, now it is there. So what? it is not interesting me any more, I know this car already. No discussion, no interrogation... No suspense "how will it be in the metal", it is already in the street... A6, A3, A5... no suspense at all. same stuff...

It is released and I have an impression of emptyness, deception, something should happen and...nothing!!

And it will make the A5 looks common too, it is actually so beautiful...

You know what? The B8 looks old and dated already!

Sorry but it is my feeling. I'm far from being an Audi fan, but I've seen the A5 and sair to myself: wow really nice, the A4 could be nice too! But no... Too bad!

IRL I've only seen the C-class without sport package and it look more than satisfying, especially in dark colours. We tend to get bit spoiled when we see Benzes with sport kits and forget hoe good the standard models look.

Standard model Benzes have never impressed me, Sport or nothing! CLS excluded of course!

Re: Official Comparison Thread: New A4 vs E90 3er vs W204 C-Class

Let me put it this way: the photos shown of the 3er and C-Klasse are ludicrously good compared with the rather bland "official portrait" of the B8. So, based on the pics we've got thus far the poor Audi's got the deck stacked against it.

Nevertheless, when visualising a car in this class that inspires the passionate motorist in me from all aspects, I can't get a particular model out of my head...

BMW E90 335i Sport in white
Black i-Drive interior
18" Multi-spoke wheels

For practical reasons, I'd probably never buy one but that won't stop me from saying that this is the hottest car in the class.

Re: Official Comparison Thread: New A4 vs E90 3er vs W204 C-Class

I still prefer the front on bmw 3er moreso than A4 and C-class need the Avantgarde trim to be compareable to 3er:

the rear on the bimmer is okey but not as hot as A4

Re: Official Comparison Thread: New A4 vs E90 3er vs W204 C-Class

With or without the sports kit the C-class beat the 3er and A4 in the looks department:

Just look at all the sexy lines. Wait until the_Artist jumps into the discussion
