Similar comparison will pop up the coming week. The out come isn't going to be a surprise. The S5 is clearly the "better" car which off course come at a higher price.

The 335i has beaten the S5 I believe in 4 out of 7 comparisons. Every time the S5 lost it was evident it was becuase of cost!

Re: Audi S5 vs Infiniti G37 vs BMW E92 335i

I like the way the S5, looks, but from what I hear I really won't like the way it drives. I don't expect the A5 to be any better either. It's by far the best looking of all the coupes(IMO). The E92 is a very good looking car, but a bit Vanilla next to the A5. I don't mind the interior, it's pretty straightforward and very, very BMW(straight laced and focused). The Infiniti.... what Infiniti????????????? I think the ideal car for me right now, that one that ticks all the fright boxes, is the car in my avatar. Not quite a coupe, but fits the bill perfectly, IMHO.

From most accounts the performance is outstanding! Check out these figures compared in another comparison....
Highlights from the Autozeitung comparison S5 vs. 335i

S5

0-100 : 5,1s
0-160 : 11,6s
0-200 : 18,3s

braking :
100-0, cold : 35,1m
100-0, warm : 34,5m

handling : 1:44,6 min
slalom : 62,2 km/h

weight : 1721kg

335i coupe (manual)

0-100 : 5,5s
0-160 : 11,9s
0-200 : 19,1s

braking :
100-0, cold : 36,6m
100-0, warm : 34,8m

handling : 1:44,6 min
slalom : 63,0 km/h

weight : 1596kg

1st S5
2nd 335i

That's not bad in my opinion, I forgot which review it was but they got the S5 to 60mph in just 4.5sec.

No one said anything about numbers. We're talking driving experience.

My bad, when you said "won't like the way it drives" I assumed you were saying you don't like the way it performs. So you want a more engaging vehicle is what your saying?

Precisely. The B8 A5/S5 simply lugs too much weight around the corners, and the Audi engineers were bullied by the marketing monkeys into making darn sure you can't feel a thing coming through the steering wheel. Good thing the cars have Quattro, outstanding engineering and design, otherwise I'd completely overlook Audi. BMW makes outstanding drivers cars, but at a cost, and that's sure to keep me out of a BMW for a long long time(as long as they're on the quest to sell the most cars out of all premium auto manufactures this will always be the case). MB has learned it's lesson and I don't think Audi would ever go back on it's reputation).
