P.S I can only hope Audi and Mercedes don't feel the need to create such a car. If BMW can't make a serious performance car, with top notch creator comforts, then we should stop comparing BMW against Audi and Mercedes imo! Both those companys can accomodate both
At least you appreciate the CSL in an engineering point of view... no wait nevermind.

That is probably one of the most ridiculous things I've ever heard in this forum. That's like someone saying "The Lotus Elise is way too one dimensional".

I think so too.

Lets just hope BMW does a just as good job on the E92 CSL as well. I would love to see options like roll cage and semi-slicks.

that is one of the sexiest interiors ever made..
flawless..

PS
How about this for a discussion?
The M3 has obviously gone more civil than the last generation (not meaning its worse.. its actually faster).. even bmw fans admit that..
Now do you guys belive that the coming CSL..will also be toned down compared to the E46?
I sure as hell do not hope so.. cause then imo it wont be a CSL...
That mystery M car (M6CSL) will give us an indication what the modern take from M is on CSL cars.. looking forward to see that very much..

CSL versions were always more hardcore than their counterparts and therefore i don't think they'll go soft or civil with it. I agree with you, Artist, M6 CSL will give us much better picture... If that will be that mystery car...

This is a very good point! We can probably learn alot about the upcomming M3 CSL by looking at the M6 CSL.

Depends how would you define that civil term...

Nope, i don't think so. In fact i'm, sure that with all the technology, expirience and engineering within M division that only improved since the last CSL, the new one will slaughter the old one in every possible way...
