is the R8 using R-tires or what?

It uses Pirelli P Zero Corsa, same as the RS4?

yes its the same, so you can say they are Semi-R-tires.

I'm not a tire expert but the F430, Gallardo and Z06 uses semi-R or racing tyres as well?

Good result for the R8 only second to viper,the R8 isn't using R tyres as much as i know..

I dont know about the rest but Z06 is using "normal" tires, run-flats.

they are called semi-R-tires. 997TT is using semi-r-tires as well.

Semi means they are better on wetconditions than 100% R-tires is. R-tires are for the track and very bad in wet conditions, semi-R-tires can be used on a track and on the street, not as much grip as R-tires but better than "normal" tires.

The 911 Turbo is getting beat up left and right, it is the GT3 that should be in these contests, not the Turbo.

True, im looking forward to a GT3 vs R8 test. Wonder if someone finally puts one together. Same price, same power.

Very strong result from the Z06 if using standard road tires.
