The Audi R8 jumps into the world of sports cars like a bomb, a car not just for a Concours d´Elegance but also for the track with outstandig driving dynamics, a new entry the others have to look after, but also a perfect daily drive.

The Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera raises the standard for all sports cars, best performance in all disciplines but not as good as a daily drive as the R8, a bit more extreme and much more expensive.

SL is on R-tires, Z06 isnt. Z06 is actually on run-flats.

within a month there might be acceleration duell between R8 and a Atom (with supercharger) on an airfield. dont ask question how I know, I just know.

I must have taken a really talented driver to get a Z06 around the track as fast as the GT3. Then again the Z06's power likely balanced out the 997 9911 GT3's better precision.

I agree those times are awesome for the Lambo.

he is a pro driver, same guy that did the officiell record around Nurnburgring with a Carrera GT. So yes he is talented

R8 beated 997 S with 1.6 sec (1.14,3 min) around Hockenheim. R8 will beat 997S around N-ring as well, no doubt. My guess is 8.00 min for R8.
