The same engine is shared with the Toyota Avensis diesel and while 177-hp are a lot, the engine lacks refinement and is often described as "sounding like a tractor". A nice try by Lexus, but it lacks so many things to be truly competitive against the Europeans on their home turf. The Alfa Romeo 159 is a hotty. A friend of my father just got a golden-brown / smoke silver 159 and it's hot!
