Wow Mercedes did pretty bad in this test
I would have thought it will be a close contest between the BMW and the Merc but BMW comfortably won it between them.
I never knew that the VW is the fastest out of the 4

The new issue of Auto Zeitung is pretty damn good: R8 vs. 997 and Aston AMV8 + Gallardo S.L. vs. 997 GT3 RS a.s.o.

Maybe one of you, our german friends should scan those tests for us

I have the carmag but im visting my parents so I cant post until Sunday evening.

The gallardo were quicker than 997 RS around their testtrack.
The R8 was quicker than 911S, AMV around their testtrack.

I can see why the Benz did so badly. Mainly because of the fuel consumption. The old 2.2-l needs to be replaced. It's still a good engine refinement wise but the fuel consumption is just too much compared to the competition.

Τhe A4 needs replacement ASAP. I 'm sure the new one will be able to beat the 3 series.

The passat did very well, this is the engine I tried to get in our passat, but dad said he didn't want the extra power!

It may be the fastest, but when the BMW gets the updated engine from the 1er, I'm sure it will be back on top!

PS, amazed the MB did so poorly, they need to get a new diesel engine ASAP!
