Re: Coupe battle: Italians vs. Germans vs. British

Thats a damn awesome shot of the CL63!

Anyway some of those Italian cars shouldn`t be counted as pure Italian.
The new Ferrari 599 was designed by a japanese gentleman and that Alfa in the first pic I believe was designed by an American if I`m not mistaken.

Overall I vote for the Germans. The new CL is hotter than Hell as always!
The new 3er I didn`t like until I saw it in the metal, it looks much better in real life than in photos for some reason. Porsche is always very good.

LOL Design teams are very international with every car maker so you can say the same about German and British cars...

You are correct GTA7.5 ...but the main designer of the 599 was the American-born Jason Castriota who works for Pininfarina (he also designed the Maserati GranTurismo). I have no doubt that a Japanese designer also worked on it however.

Re: Coupe battle: Italians vs. Germans vs. British

Well I don't think we should go y the nationalities of the designers, because if we do, the list will have to be re-done and other countries will have to be included in the poll
just for your information:
Alfa 8C: designed by Wolfgang Egger - a German
BMW Z4: by a guy, who is Danish.. I unfortunately forgot his name!
Audi R8: Walter Da Silva (?) - Italian
Aston DB9: Henrik Fisker - Danish

Don't know about the others but you get the idea

Re: Coupe battle: Italians vs. Germans vs. British

This is one of the most difficult polls ever. A great majority of the cars in the first page of some of most beautiful cars made the latest 10 years.

I guess it's the design language that matters and not the designer himself.
