AutoBild is quite predictable; E350 wins (as expected) over facelift 530i

1. E350 – 494 points
2. 530i – 484 points

To me they're equal! Just look at the difference between numbers 17/16, 8/7 19/18...and so on.

Kudos to MB of course , but nothing special.

Seriosly whats up with Autobild. That carmag need new carjournalists. They are worse than AMS.

Its the damn category "Garantie" that bimmers always get low points in this carmag.

Prepare to go in flames... j/k...

I think its annoying when results in carmags are so obvious. Shock me, surprise me instead.

I just found something I like to hear from autobild: "At the end only the taste can decide". autobild, you got that right

Gotta go to the dealer tomorrow and see if I can pull out an E's rear seat! Bet that will get the salespeople's attention. Can someone tell me what they're saying in the caption under this pic?



It isn't hard to see why these 2 cars dominate the segment here in the U.S.

Mind that BMW usually lose comparison test in German magazines due the lack of warranty.

Also in this test MB got 13 points for warranty, while BMW got 5 points only. Also E-class got some extra points due being more spacious & ergonomical (German press still not used to iDrive ).

Article says say both cars are pretty equal. BMW is more dynamic / sporty, and more economical. While MB is more balanced (= better all-rounder), and offers better comfort.

Well, the tester said in the end its up to others to decide which to choose since they were extremly close in all categories but he prefere the E350 for comfort and balance, they the 5er was still more dynamic to drive though.

Classic story isn't it? Seems like this is the way it will it will always be, as god intended etc. etc......with the "winner" being determined by which way the magazines biases lie.
