The best interior out of the 3 big Germans?

Okay folks.

As many of you know, Audi is most known for having one of a kind interiors that very often are mentioned as top notch and hard to beat. But lately I've seen some members think that for example BMW interiors are better looking (which imo opinion is absolutely so hard to believe) or in some cases the MB interiors are better looking. So I thouhgt we could just start an easy poll with an easy queston.

Which of the 3 big German car makes Audi, BMW and Mercedes-Benz have the best interiors?

Re: The best interior out of the 3 big Germans?

Easy poll` Noway, at least not for me. I find the interior in some bimmers better than interiors in Audi and the same goes for Audi contra BMW.

Easy poll? noway josé, I dont know what to vote for....

We are talking about overall.

When you sit inside a car. In which car do you feel that the people have spent as much time as possible to make it look and feel as good as possible.

Re: The best interior out of the 3 big Germans?

Those members have the right to think whatever they want, just like you do. I don't see anything wrong if someone prefers BMW's or MB's interior over the one in Audi, so why is that absolutely so hard to believe? Believe it, not everyone in this world think Audi's interiors are the best and they're entitled to their opinion. What bothers you is BMW & MB fans, not their opinion about best interiors.

I personally think Audi has the best materials and if i take in consideration this (looks only):

A5 vs. 3er coupe - A5 wins!
Q7 vs. vew X5 - X5 wins!
TT vs. Z4 - TT wins!
A8 vs. 7er - 7er wins!
5er vs A6 - A6 wins!

So, you see, it's 3:2 for Audi by TycoonGTR - BMW fan.

What now? Some BMW fan should jump in and say i'm crazy? Is that also hard to believe for you? No, in this case you'll probably agree with me, but if in case i preferred all BMW interiors over Audi's, i'd probably be called crazy.

Re: The best interior out of the 3 big Germans?

Fit and finish: im not sure its a draw between MB and audi..as my experiences with audi interiors have been far from what is told here..
for example a driver seat in a new RS4 that squeeks so much you have to turn up the stereo loud to drown it..
and for MB they have had some serious probs lately..but these new cars..especially the S class..are freakin amazing..like a vault.. go and try if you dont belive it

Design: Here MB winns it for me.. i hate BMW interior design..with its sharp edges..and failed attempts to try to be hyper modern..
they should take their design back to Z8 interior time.. hoping for new cool direction with the new 7er..
Audi on the other hand always look nice..but thats about it.. nothing spectacular.. very strict.. and german.. and i hate the similarites that runs all trough the VAG interior line up..its disturbing..

Ergonomics: BMW sucks arse in this department.. they really need to think this over.. seems like they did with the X5 wich seems to have a hot interior.. Audi cars have good ergonomics.. nothing is placed in a wierd place.. everything is easy to reach and use..
But MB gives me this feeling..especially the S class..that the car works for you.. everything seems so automatic and naturall..
they are the true masters of ergonomics.. ( on the other hand..it could be the fact that im used to MB)

So MB gets my vote.. surprise surprise..

Re: The best interior out of the 3 big Germans?

Audi gets my vote.

10 years ago BMW did, but they lost the plot with the new cars - they completely stopped making it driver oriented - and that might be okay in a 7 series or X5 interiors (both of which I actually like more than the equivalent Audi ones), but it is a no-no in a 3/5 series. Bring back the old driver oriented E36 interior - one of all time favroites.

Merc interiors are never sporty so it never figures in my list, though the new S looks good from a luxury/richness pov.

I sat in many cars. Including all current MBs, Audis & BMWs available.

My personal opinion:

BMW has the freshest design. When you sit in a BMW cabin you fell the modernity, the dynamics, feeling confidence & self-esteem. All that curves & creases, and asymmetric elements - very dramatic, very avantgarde. I like it very much. Yes, some materials & details are not first class, but its about design not craftsmanship. Siting in a BMW makes you feel you are indeed sitting in a 21st century car.

MB has that very rich feeling inside the cabin. Something baroquesque. With a modern touch. Neobaroque I would say. It has certain personality. Yet the design is a bit too kitschy for my taste. Craftsmanship is very good, details are noticeable. It's a typical MB - beamed into 21st century.

Audi has top-notch craftsmanship. Fit & finish & details are amazing. Best of all three Germans (or four incl Porsche). It looks like they put a lot of effort in the make of interior - its Audis trademark after all. While design is cold & boring IMO. Leaves me cold - while BMW & MB don't. Design is too industrialistic, too technocratic, too machine-like, too car-cliché-like. Feels so 80s / 90s. Don't like it, yet I can imagine many buyers strive exactly for such design.

So ... in the end its all about personal taste. I would choose BMW because it fits me best. And I do not care about shiny little knobs & buttons & "cheap" plastic too much. Yet this will be addressed with F01 7er, and will then spread down the line.
