I love the news about advanced climate control. I think this is a much more compelling luxury story than the "nanny systems" that have been very prominent marketing tools as of late.

I think the problem is that luxury carmakers focused so heavily on electronics and telmatics for the past 10 years. Which was awesome when that stuff was novel and could only be had in a car... But now with the iPhone being a swiss-army-computer in your pocket, and Android phones supposedly coming with built-in navigation... All that $3,500 add-on tech isn't very impressive.

What IS nice - is that this could bode well for the future of luxury in the sense that other, more qualitative elements could become the yardstick by which we measure the true worth of a luxury car. Having a hyperadvanced HVAC system is a great start.
