VW Eos: Prices announced!

VW announced the prices for the VW Eos which can be ordered from now and will arrive May 19th in Germany.

- VW Eos 1.6 FSI with 115 bhp and manual 6-gear transmission: 25.950 Euro
- VW Eos 2.0 FSI with 150 bhp: 27.950 Euro
- VW Eos 2.0 TFSI with 200 bhp and manual 6-gear transmission: 30.200 Euro
- VW Eos 3.2 l V6 with 250 bhp and DSG transmission 35.500 Euro
- VW Eos 2.0 TDI with 140 bhp and standard-equipped diesel particulate filter: 29.950 Euro

Volkswagen announces Eos pricing (for Canada)

Ajax, Ontario - Volkswagen has announced that the all-new 2007 Eos hardtop convertible, which debuted in Canada at the 2006 Montreal Auto Show, will carry a base price of $36,900 when it goes on sale later this Summer.

Standard features will include an advanced ABS braking system, traction control, electronic stability program, front head and thorax airbags, 17-inch alloy wheels, air conditioning, cruise control, power windows, front heated seats and washer nozzles, fog lights, anti-theft alarm, LED taillights, and fully power-operated folding roof with integrated glass sunroof. It will be built in Setubal, Portugal.

The company says the Eos is the world's first car to offer a folding hardtop roof with integrated sunroof; the top takes 25 seconds to fully open or close. Power is from a 200-hp 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine, mated to a standard six-speed manual transmission or optional six-speed Direct Shift Gearbox (DSG) automatic transmission with Tiptronic manual mode.

... a little high, but not as bad as I expected!

Well, it's a lot more expensive than the golf, about £5000 for each model!

I think VW have made this car far too pricey!
