28,6 s to 200 km/h is pretty fast for a 210-hp-GTi.
The new 305-hp-Focus RS is just 3,2 seconds faster...

Lovely car. But it has a big problem.

You see, a 5-door Golf GTI with DSG and all the optional extras fetch £30,000! I'm sorry, but that's far too much for a Golf GTI or indeed any other hot hatch. Specially, when you consider that for the same money, you can buy a 2006 BMW M5 for example. Are you sure you still would want the Golf?

If I had the dough, I definitely would go for the M5. Sorry GTI.

Wow the new cars and their power efficiency and delivery are really starting to show. I mean just think about it a measly 200 bhp doing it in such a short time is astonishing. I remember even a decade ago, how the 200 bhp mark was struggling to reach 160 km/h in that time.
