U.S. Jetta Diesels Already Sold Out, VW Ups Future Sales Predictions

Not only has the U.S. supply of Volkswagen Jetta Diesels already sold out for 2008, but Volkswagen Group of America CEO Stefan Jacoby is increasing his sales predictions for the future. The 50-state-legal clean diesels went on sale in the U.S. in August.

A few months ago, Volkswagen predicted that 25% of Jetta sedan sales and 33% of Jetta wagon sales would be diesels. 1,300 diesel cars were allotted to U.S. dealers for the remainder of 2008, and Jacoby says all of them are already sold.
