Do we need R36 when we have R32?? I mean, Golf isn't Lancer EVO to get few stronger versions, it's different kind of car!!

R36 will arrive in 2007 according to some sources. I 'm not certain if it will replace R32 or not.

It's a logical progression though isn't it Yannis? Considering that the engine is already doing service in the Passat 3.6, it's only a matter of time before that mill gets squeezed into a Golf engine bay.

I was sceptical of your claims that this would eventually take place, but now I wouldn't half be surprised if you were right all along. Time will tell but I feel that the writing's on the wall.

Yannis, do you have any engine stats (specifically bore/stroke and weight) for the 3.2 V6 vs. the 3.6? Just to serve as an indication for the difference in size...

if R36 comes then BMw need to upgrade 130i to 135i, the turbo version
